Climate Change, Global Food Security, and the US Food System: Exploring Drought Over Time

In this exercise you will be working with global climate model output from the Community Earth System Model (CESM) in order to map possible future precipitation change by the middle of the 21st century as well as future drought. 

Technical skills you will learn:

  • Navigating the ArcMap interface.
  • Working with multidimensional data.
  • Working with the Time Slider. 
  • Exporting an animation of future drought.

This exercise was developed for the BRIGHTE Workshop : Climate Change, Global Food Security, and the US Food System that took place the summer of 2016.
