We are bringing together our expertise in GIS science and technology, machine learning, and remote sensing to develop novel methods and efficient workflows to connect data and models across disciplinary research domains. We utilize modern approaches to interactive data science technologies and geospatial methods to enhance big data processing and to support actionable Earth system science. We are building real-time or post-processed simulation-based geospatial products and creating analytical workflows to support atmospheric and hydrological modeling and enable convergent research on weather and climate risk and resilience. Our current work focuses on climate change analytics, extreme heat and convective weather risks, and supports water management and flood prediction efforts.
